Though pigs may never fly, a two-year-old hog in Franschhoek, South Africa is proving they sure can paint! Meet PIGcasso, the world’s first known pig artist whose masterpieces are selling amazingly.
Joanne Lefsin, saved Pigcasso from a slaughter house 2 years ago, she discoversed the animals talent accidently. It seems that paintbrushes were the only the tothing she didn't eat and she was very attracted by them.
The rescuer decided to show Pigcasso a canvas and some paint to see what will happen. To her delight the pig began creating works of art that were very abstract. Pigcasso does have a picnic basket the filled with her favourite foods like caramel popcorn and syrup peaches, she has it when she is working. While Pigcasso is the first pig and first nonhuman to be in an exhibition, she is not the first animal to create masterpieces. Elephants, sea lions, and even penguins have shown similar artistic ability.
